NHIT Events

The NHIT Collaborative is the premier organization bringing together thought-leaders to look at health IT as the catalyst for reducing health disparities based on NHIT’s five pillars:   Workforce, Innovation, Policy, Research, and Community.

In the past few years, from the streets of Houston to a hospital in the Bronx to the halls of Congress to the White House, NHIT has accomplished much in service of its communities – a sample:

  • Developed and deployed a dashboard of social determinant of health data for the HHS Office of Minority Health
  • Connected entrepreneurs, the HHS CTO and investors in a series of Wall Street Summits,
  • Awarded a precision medicine for the underserved challenge with Partners Healthcare, support from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and an array of public and private partners
  • Built electronic consumer and provider education tools to combat hepatitis

And, last but not least, hosted NHIT annual meetings that brought together the nation’s thought leaders like National Coordinators Karen DeSalvo and Vindell Washington to strategize and put into action public and private strategies for advancing health technology to address health disparities.  Please visit the individual pages for detailed information.
