“Innovating for the Underserved” Business Plan Challenge

  • On December 2014, in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer of Department of Health and Human Services and the HHS IDEA Lab, we convened the Wall Street Roundtable to discuss investments in health IT solutions involving and benefiting underserved populations. This first-of-its-kind meeting brought together key leaders from private foundations, technology firms, non-profit organizations, financial institutions and US and British federal agencies to initiate investment strategies for health IT solutions for underserved populations. This meeting served as the catalyst for the NHIT Collaborative to secure funding and launch the “Innovating for the Underserved” Business Plan Challenge, announced in April at our White House Briefing and HHS Spring Summit. We are proud to have led and brought this initiative to fruition!
