The NHIT Summit, is an education program for health executives to interact with innovators and world-class thought leadership. The Summit will focus on the organization’s mission to engage underserved populations in the development and use of health information technology (HIT) to support and sustain health equity and economic viability based on NHIT’s five pillars: Workforce, Innovation, Policy, Research, and Community.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
*Examine disparities in technology access and literacy impacting rural and underserved communities, including the challenges and opportunities raised during the COVID-19 pandemic.
*Understand how broadband infrastructure, access, and digital literacy are super-determinants of health with profound impacts on health outcomes.
*Evaluate current initiatives and explore inclusive program models that leverage digital innovation to ensure health access for all, including rural and underserved communities. *Review funding opportunities generated by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and generate community support for a national agenda focused on addressing health equity through socially conscious infrastructure and healthcare spending.
