Removing Barriers for Diverse Founders in Accessing Capital

The National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved (NHIT), in partnership with the California Health Care Foundation (CHCF), is spearheading an initiative to eliminate barriers for diverse founders in accessing non-dilutive capital. This project will develop a comprehensive toolkit focused on federal, philanthropic, and grant funding opportunities tailored for minority digital health founders in California.

To shape and refine this resource, NHIT will host a dynamic series of webinars, in-person events, and listening sessions, engaging key stakeholders and gathering insights. The project will culminate in a final report designed to empower and equip diverse entrepreneurs with actionable strategies to secure vital funding, driving innovation and equity in digital health.

Webinar Series Description:
This three-part NHIT Webinar Series titled “Removing Barriers for Diverse Founders in Accessing Capital” is designed to empower diverse founders with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to overcome challenges in accessing capital. By addressing systemic barriers and fostering equity, the series aims to bridge the gap for underserved communities, paving the way for diverse founders to thrive and drive innovation in health IT and beyond.
